Brazen was born before its founders had even met face-to-face. Laura had long seen the gap in the market for sports bras that could truly support women in high-impact sport. When she came across Lauren’s work in sportswear design, she instantly recognised the potential of their skills aligning. She reached out, and together they discovered a shared passion and vision.
What began as an idea quickly grew into a strong partnership — built on mutual respect, complementary strengths, and a drive to make a difference. Today, Laura and Lauren are united by one mission: to support women in every stage of life, to champion women’s sport, and to give back to the sporting community that shaped them.
Brazen isn’t just a brand. It’s a movement — created by women, for women — to ensure every athlete, from grassroots to elite, has the support she deserves.

At Brazen, we’re two women with one mission: to empower women in sport with bras that truly support, perform, and inspire confidence.
As a rugby player, Laura knows first-hand what’s needed from a sports bra: real support, zero distraction, and the confidence to focus on your game — not what’s going on under your shirt.
Meanwhile, Lauren began designing athleisure wear after having children, frustrated by the lack of options that supported both movement and breastfeeding.
Together, we created Brazen — a brand that understands the real needs of real athletes at every stage of life.
From teenage debuts to elite-level rugby, from postnatal return to play to everyday training, our bras are designed to protect, support and perform — so you can do the same.

Laura is a busy working mum with an unstoppable drive, fuelled by a lifelong love of rugby and horses. She saw a real gap in the market for sports bras that could keep up with the demands of women in high-impact sport — and she knew she had the skills and determination to make it happen.
With years of business experience and a natural flair for product design, Laura has always had an eye for turning ideas into something that truly works. She even built a successful small furnishing business when her son was little, proving her entrepreneurial spirit runs deep.
Passionate about women’s sport and equality of access, Laura is on a mission with Brazen: to empower women to perform at their best, feel supported, and never have to compromise when it comes to comfort or confidence.
Lauren Awoyale

Lauren is a proud mum of two boys who keep her constantly on the move. Fitness and training have always been a huge part of her life, but after having her first child she quickly realised how difficult it was to find sportswear that adapted to her ever-changing body.
The biggest challenge? Finding a sports bra that was both comfortable and truly functional.
Frustration turned into inspiration. Lauren began researching, sketching designs, and testing ideas until she developed a bra that finally delivered everything she’d been searching for.
What started as a personal project soon became something much bigger — the perfect sports bra not only for herself, but for friends, other mums, and eventually, athletes everywhere.
Her breakthrough maternity sports bra was just the beginning. With years of dedication in the sportswear industry, Lauren has now created bras that truly meet the needs of women at every stage of life. Her passion is simple yet powerful: designing and crafting sportswear with women at the heart of every detail — so that no matter what life throws at us, we feel supported, strong, and ready to perform.
